DID YOU KNOW GOD IS DOING SURGERY ON US

Life can be painful. But what if some of that pain isn’t punishment (In fact, since Jesus died on the cross for humannity, and resurrected in three days, He does not punish us by inflicting pain.)… but surgery?

Just like a surgeon carefully cuts to repair, remove what’s harmful or realign what’s broken, God sometimes allows us to go through uncomfortable seasons – not to hurt us, but to transform us. It’s a spiritual kind of surgery.

The Operating Table of Life

There are moments when we feel like everything is being stripped away – relationships, dreams, pride, plans. It’s scary. But maybe, it’s God laying us down gently on the operating table, saying, “you can’t fix this on your own, but I can.” (Can a cancer patient remove their own tumour? No. Only the surgeon can.).

“God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our pains: His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” C.S. Lewis

Surgery hurts, but healing is on the other side.

The Surgeon Who Knows What He’s Doing

Unlike earthly surgeon, God never makes mistakes. He knows where to cut and where to mend. He sees what’s deep within – bitterness, fear, insecurity, sin – and begins to gently remove it.

We may not understand it in the moment, but God always works with eternity in mind, not just comfort today.

Healing May Hurt Before It Helps

Sometimes we pray for breakthrough, and God responds by breaking something in us. It feels backward – until we realise He’s removing what’s been holding us back all along.

The wound is the place where the light enters you.

God’s spiritual surgery often involves tears, waiting and surrender, but it always ends in growth, healing and freedom.

Trust the Hands Holding the Scalpel

So if you’re feeling like you’re being stretched, pressed or carved open by life – remember: God is the Physician of all physicians. He’s not punishng you. He’s preparing you. You’re not being torn down or torn apart; you’re being rebuilt.

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” Phillippians 1:6 (NIV)

If you think about it God’s surgery is like sanctification (A lifelong process of being made holy, set apart for His purpose and gradually transformed into the image of Christ.). It’s not always comfortable, but it’s always purposeful. When w go through trials, pruning or inner transformation, it’s evidence that God is still at work within us, lovingly shaping us for His glory. So, yes, God is doing surgery on us – not to harm us, but to heal us and make us whole.

God’s surgery is sacred. So let Him work. Let Him cut. Let Him heal you. You’re in great hands as Dr. God is the Greatest Surgeon in the universe.
